Junior Interior Designer

About This Role

This role will collaborate with various stakeholders on high-end residential and hospitality projects, handling technical drawings, project documentation, material sourcing, and adhering to budgets and timelines. The position is full-time and in-person in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, clients, architects, contractors, fabricators, and artisans on multiple projects in varying design phases
• Responsible for technical drawings, project file organization, client follow-ups, and meeting preparation
• Source and specify materials and furniture, custom furniture design, and visual research
• Be mindful of budgets and project timelines
• Maintain the Studio library organization
• Create project documentation including drawing sets, schedules, and construction administration duties in tandem with the Associate Interior Designer and Creative Director

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience and interest in hospitality and/or residential interiors
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design school
• Passion for design and a keen eye for detail
• High proficiency in CAD (ArchiCAD), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and SketchUp
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with clarity, organization and follow-through
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the design team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design school
• 1-3 years of experience and interest in hospitality and/or residential interiors

• Rendering skills
• NCIDQ accreditation interest
