About This Role

The Junior High Head Coach for Girls Soccer is responsible for organizing and supervising the sports program, instructing athletes in fundamental skills and strategy, and fostering character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence. This role involves managing staff, overseeing administrative duties, and ensuring student athlete well-being.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the total girls' soccer sports program.
• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training for team and individual success.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes, demonstrating behaviors that lead to character development and self-discipline.
• Uphold and implement athletic policies, system, state, and league regulations.
• Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques for staff to teach.
• Assist the athletic director with scheduling, transportation, and tournament requirements.
• Provide safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites.
• Monitor student athletes' grades and conduct, providing assistance and guidance at all practices and games.
• Participate in budgeting and recommend equipment guidelines, ensuring operation within appropriations.

Requirements

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (Major sports).
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of soccer.
• Commitment to serving as an appropriate role model for student athletes.
