Independently perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural equipment, and mentor junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
- Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill and knowledge development
- Mentor Service Technician Trainees
- Conduct or support customer clinics
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Account for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in agricultural and turf equipment
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to retain positive relationships with customers and co-workers
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience performing service repairs
