About This Role

The IT Service Desk Intern will provide hands-on technical support to Safety National employees, managing user accounts and deploying Windows 11 laptops. This role offers real-world experience in troubleshooting and enterprise IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience supporting Safety National employees
  • Contribute to meaningful projects that impact the entire organization
  • Provide technical assistance
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Help ensure employees have secure access to tools and systems
  • Image and deploy Windows 11 laptops to employees
  • Provide in-person end user support at the tech bar
  • Contribute to larger Service Desk initiatives and department-wide projects

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree program
  • 60 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2027
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fundamental knowledge of operating systems, networking, troubleshooting, and familiarity with operating systems and networking
  • Capable of clearly articulating complex topics to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146, full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2026
  • Presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree program
