Investment Banking Associate

About This Role

Join a growing leadership team in the energy industry to execute debt and tax equity financings and contribute to capital markets activities. This role involves significant interaction with senior management, portfolio companies, and external advisors to drive growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of debt and tax equity financings, including overseeing the model, managing all deliverables and diligence efforts
• Serve as key point of contact with investors, legal advisors and consultants to achieve financial close
• Assist in developing and negotiating term sheets, credit agreements and other finance documents for new debt and tax equity financings
• Coordinate with corporate development and construction teams to ensure financings suit development/construction timelines and funding requirements are clear
• Assist in developing financing strategies for presentation to senior management
• Support the VP, Capital Markets and Treasury on projects to enhance financial management
• Provide coaching to team members to foster their development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project finance or investment banking
• Fluency in financial modeling
• Familiarity with tax equity and debt structures
• Experience in renewables
• High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point
• Strong financial modeling skills

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of previous experience in project finance or investment banking
