Inventory Manager, Warehouse

About This Role

This Inventory Manager role focuses on bringing structure and leadership to a busy, hands-on warehouse environment within a make-to-order manufacturing setting. The role involves fully owning inventory control, optimizing material flow, and implementing lean practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Fully own inventory control (does not include purchasing)
• Set up and maintain bin locations across a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse with ~5,000 SKUs
• Lead cycle counts and physical inventories, including reconciliation and root cause analysis
• Implement and enforce FIFO for all outbound materials
• Oversee inventory flow for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across warehouse and production lines
• Bring order to a fast-moving environment with 30+ assembly employees
• Identify and correct incoming and outgoing discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal teams to align inventory with schedules
• Introduce lean inventory practices to reduce waste and improve turnover
• Maintain and improve inventory control systems for real-time visibility
• Mentor and guide warehouse staff, promoting accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement
• Work hands-on in the warehouse every day

Requirements

• 5+ years of inventory and materials management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong background in warehouse organization and inventory flow
• Experience managing raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Ability to bring structure to a busy, high touch warehouse environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-department collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred)
• 5+ years of inventory and materials management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
