Inventory Clerk I

About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, and managing material handling operations within a storage facility. The Inventory Clerk I performs essential duties to support logistics and material management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
• Receive and enter verification data for inventory
• Unpack and perform quality and quantity checks on manufacturer products
• Store and log material within a storage facility using a forklift truck, hoist, or other material handling equipment
• Perform cycle/inventory counts of product inventory
• Properly label product locations
• Adjust inventory in database, if applicable/as requested
• Maintain various files and records
• Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites
• Load delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured
• Maintain warehouse facilities as assigned for the purpose of keeping them in orderly, clean, and safe condition
• Respond to inquiries of staff for the purpose of providing information regarding the status of deliveries
• Use appropriate equipment to safely move/lift items (e.g. pallet jack, forklift, cart)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of verifiable logistics experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to leverage available resources to accomplish objectives
