About This Role

Support NYSERDA's Corporate Communications team by assisting with special projects, researching program areas, and building public awareness of clean energy initiatives. This role involves developing and enhancing successful work products through independent research and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support special projects showcasing NYSERDA’s work, leveraging existing materials and independent research
  • Assist the Corporate Communications team in building public awareness of NYSERDA’s programs and objectives
  • Research program areas, trends, and industry reports to gather information for written communications
  • Review and proofread third-party articles, press releases, and materials for accuracy and understanding
  • Assist with updating existing media lists, identifying new reporters, and compiling new media lists
  • Assist the Corporate Communications team in preparing materials and publicity for in-person and virtual events

Requirements

  • Current, full-time undergraduate or graduate student
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram)
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to research primary and secondary sources
  • Skill in managing multiple activities, delivering on commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment
  • Strong work ethic

Qualifications

  • Current, full-time undergraduate or graduate student, pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Media Relations
