Interior Installation Technician II

About This Role

The Interior Installation Technician II will remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, ensuring compliance with company and FAA standards. This role focuses on maintaining quality and meeting customer expectations while working under general supervision on the second shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform aircraft removal, installation, and fabrication of various interior components (galleys, closets, lavatories, etc.)
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures and quality specifications
• Utilize the material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs
• Follow standard operating procedures for tools and equipment, ensuring proper care and maintenance
• Prepare and install aircraft interior items according to company procedures and quality standards
• Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners, applying proper hardware use
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment and addressing unsafe conditions
• Assist higher-skilled technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements under supervision
• Adapt to sudden schedule changes
• Work with leads and technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of applicable installation, fabrication or related experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
• Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors
• Able to climb ladders and stairs
• Able to work in small restricted areas
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Computer literate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of applicable installation, fabrication or related experience, aerospace industry experience preferred.
