StevenDouglas is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for a manufacturing company in Sidney, OH, for a contract position expected to last 6+ months. This role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with close processes, and improving accounting efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Assist in implementing new systems, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings
- Partner with FP&A and operational teams to provide insights and support decision making
- Assist in special projects including integration of new acquisitions and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience
- Manufacturing, retail, distribution or CPG industry experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience
