About This Role

This role is for a Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience to join a California law firm's Insurance & Financial Services Litigation team. The position offers maximum flexibility in work arrangements and focuses on complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
  • Analyze factual records and legal issues to assess claims and defenses
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Work directly with in-house counsel, experts, third-party administrators, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, including motions, jury instructions, trial briefs, exhibits, and witness preparation

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of litigation experience
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic with a self-starter mindset
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Active admission to the California State Bar

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of litigation experience

Nice to Have

  • Insurance, ERISA, or financial services experience
