This role is for a Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience to join a California law firm's Insurance & Financial Services Litigation team. The position offers maximum flexibility in work arrangements and focuses on complex litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
- Analyze factual records and legal issues to assess claims and defenses
- Take and defend depositions
- Work directly with in-house counsel, experts, third-party administrators, and opposing counsel
- Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, including motions, jury instructions, trial briefs, exhibits, and witness preparation
Requirements
- 3-7 years of litigation experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic with a self-starter mindset
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Active admission to the California State Bar
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of litigation experience
Nice to Have
- Insurance, ERISA, or financial services experience
