Instructor of Adult Education - ESL / HSE Courses - Adjunct Pool

About This Role

This adjunct faculty position involves teaching ESL and HSE courses, championship student learning through innovative pedagogies, and assessing student performance at McHenry County College.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in accordance with learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using engaging instructional strategies
• Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments
• Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance, including availability for student conferences
• Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades and attendance records, and required course related data
• Use educational technology such as Canvas
• Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results
• Maintain currency in professional field
• Work cooperatively within the department, division, and College to achieve educational excellence

Requirements

• Course specific minimum qualifications as approved annually by the Board of Trustees

Qualifications

• Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
