Information Assurance Manager Senior F-16 WAM

About This Role

This role supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center F-16 division, providing technical advisory and multi-discipline expertise for the F-16 Information Assurance (IA) program. The position focuses on ensuring the security and integrity of F-16 systems for both USAF and Foreign Military Sales programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical advisor for the F-16 IA program, covering program management, IA management, systems engineering, System Security Engineering (SSE), system administration, network administration, project management, and integrated schedule development
• Assist with detailed F-16 USAF and FMS systems integration and configuration processes to identify integration and performance methods and risks
• Support translation of customer requirements into acquisition program requirements and requirements development for hardware and software
• Provide technical support for the F-16 IA program, including protection of confidentiality, availability, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation of user data
• Assist to develop integrated schedules including program conceptual schedules
• Provide advisory support in system/subsystem engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, DM, CM, contracting, FM, test/evaluation, logistics, and other technical integration functions
• Support IPTs and working groups developing and recommending acquisition streamlining proposals and implementation plans
• Provide F-16 AT program support and technical support for F-16 SSWG and program protection activities
• Support continuous assessment and evaluation of the overall F-16 IA program and individual project goals, objectives, strategies, and performance metrics
• Assist to review and interpret cyber threat and other intelligence reports at the TS-SCI level and provide appropriate guidance to F-16 Program Office activities
• Provide support to Platform Information Technology (PIT) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) for F-16 program during the acquisition life cycle
• Assist to execute the IA Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support A&A for the F-16 aircraft platform and modifications
• Assist to evaluate the technical implementation of security design against NIST 800-53 and/or DoDI 8500.2 standards
• Assist to perform IA site audits to verify architecture analysis, IA requirements and controls, and witness IA testing and evaluation
• Assist to identify Software Assurance (SWA) pedigree and quality assurance issues and perform software security analysis

Requirements

• Top Secret security clearance
• Master's or Doctoral Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline, at least 5 of which in the DoD; or Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience (5 in DoD); or fifteen years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 in DoD)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
• Minimum of 10 years of IA Management and security engineering experience
• Detailed knowledge of all USAF and FMS F-16 configurations to address F-16 USAF and FMS requirements

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in a related field, or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or fifteen years of directly related experience with proper certifications
• 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with at least 5 years in DoD, or 12 years with a Bachelor's degree (5 in DoD), or 15 years with proper certifications (8 in DoD)

• Knowledge in F-16 development and the fielded system, including an understanding of the system requirements
