This Industrial Mechanic role at Richmond Foundry in Dayton, NJ, involves minimizing downtime and maximizing production by diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems and mechanical equipment. The position is critical for maintaining high-tech foundry operations through proactive maintenance and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, motors, and control panels
• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment, conveyors, and machinery
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Assist in upgrades and new equipment installations

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician and mechanic
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, and mechanical systems
• Extensive understanding of three-phase electrical systems and control theory
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manual
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts
• Standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods
• Use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, technical training or additional education preferred
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician and mechanic, ideally in a foundry or manufacturing environment
