The Level C Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of packaging and warehouse equipment, including horizontal form-fill-seal machines, shrink wrap tunnels, forklifts, stretch wrappers, and registered bundle wrappers, as well as handling general building and electrical maintenance for Quality Packaging. This role ensures minimal downtime through prompt maintenance actions while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers)
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and repair batteries and chargers
- Conduct minor welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication tasks as required
- Address mechanical damage to warehouse infrastructure, including racking, flooring, and piping
- Interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform scheduled maintenance and service tasks
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Operate mechanical hand tools and measurement instruments (tape measures, micrometers, etc.)
- Support production efficiency by ensuring minimal downtime through prompt maintenance actions
- Comply with OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years' hands-on maintenance experience in a production or packaging environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with high-voltage systems, including 480V 3-phase motors
- Multi-disciplinary repair experience (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
- Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo motors and drives, encoders, and equipment timing
- Basic understanding of PLC systems, sensors (photo eyes, proximity sensors), and logic software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

- Strong commitment to personal and team safety following company protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications or trade school training preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant hands-on maintenance experience in a production or packaging environment.
