Industrial Maintenance Electrician

About This Role

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and belt lines to ensure the facility operates efficiently. This role involves working with power distribution, PLC controls, and various industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment and belt lines
• Perform electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and installation activities
• Maintain AC/DC motors and drives, controls, PLC controls, and all types of sensors
• Install and repair electrical systems and components according to electrical code, manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Perform safety inspections and prevent/minimize equipment downtime
• Cross-train on operational equipment such as loaders, dozers, locomotives and cranes

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Solid knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols relevant to industrial environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Effective communication skills
• Experience and demonstrated familiarity with PLCs
• Comfortable working at heights, in the elements, and in confined spaces
• Ability to obtain and hold a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Proficient in building/repairing panels and controls
• Proficient in power distribution
• Proficient in preventative maintenance programs
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
• Proficient in bending conduit
• Proficient in 220/480 volts
• Proficient in industrial wiring

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• Journeyman or master electrician’s license
