Independent Field Adjuster, Personal Lines

About This Role

Modern Claims Solutions is seeking independent field adjusters to perform field inspections and provide claim resolution services for personal lines. The role involves contacting insured parties, conducting field inspections of losses, gathering facts, writing estimates, and compiling professional reports.

Responsibilities

• Contact insured parties and their representatives
• Perform field inspections of reported losses
• Gather facts and take photographs
• Write accurate estimates for repair based on policy coverages
• Provide findings in a professionally compiled report package
• Make initial contact with insured parties within 24 hours of claim assignment
• Inspect reported losses and provide an initial report within five days of receiving a new assignment
• Professionally document the claim file on a daily basis in the Claims Management System (CMS)

Requirements

• Current adjusting license in the state in which you handle claims
• Proficient using Xactimate for narrative and photo reports, and for writing estimates
• Carry your own E&O policy that meets coverage requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Documented experience handling 1,000+ field claims. Prior experience handling losses in both personal and commercial lines is preferred.
