Operate and maintain machinery to produce parts according to print specifications and customer orders. Inspect products for quality and maintain a clean workstation.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery per requirements of the print specifications, shop order, and inspection charts
- Assure that machine is operated with the proper coolants, lubricants, and other fluid levels maintained
- Perform at a level to maintain production standards
- Work at any workstation to meet production requirements
- Inspect product to assure continued conformance to specifications
- Perform rework to nonconforming product when required
- Maintain the workstation area in a clean and orderly condition
- Complete documentation associated with the process as needed
- Train any new employee assigned to the area if required
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to use measurement tools to ensure product meets specifications per blue prints
