I&M Manager

About This Role

This role involves leading and mentoring I&M teams, managing daily operations to ensure high standards of work quality, productivity, and safety for fiber optics installation and maintenance, and supporting Tillman FiberCo's mission to build a 100% fiber network.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor I&M Technicians and Vendors, providing support, guidance, and training on company standards, procedures, and FCC compliance.
• Oversee installation and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, proper work methods, and high-quality outcomes.
• Manage daily I&M schedules, optimize productivity, and address staffing needs for upcoming projects.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Network Operations, Engineering, and I&M vendors to achieve project objectives across Florida.
• Address escalations related to installation and repair issues, keeping customers informed and resolving challenges.
• Participate in field testing and maintenance to ensure network stability and compliance with FCC and company design specifications.
• Communicate updates on technical support, network changes, and field issues to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records for installations, repairs, and FCC compliance, and produce regular reports for senior leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years in installation and maintenance within a telecom, cable, or related technical field
• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi access points
• Experience with switch and router installation/configuration
• Proficiency in gathering and interpreting data, problem-solving
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and project management software
• Ability to travel within Florida as needed
• Ability to work in the field daily

Qualifications

• 3+ years in installation and maintenance within a telecom, cable, or related technical field, with previous supervisory or management experience.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Nokia Wi-Fi access points
• Familiarity with field service management platforms
