This is the first HR hire at a critical inflection point, with full ownership to create employee handbooks, benefits packages, compliance processes, and shape the entire people operations function. This role involves both high-volume talent acquisition and establishing HR infrastructure for a rapidly growing startup in the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, from initial requirement gathering to final offer close and onboarding handoff.
- Proactively source passive candidates through various online channels and build a pipeline for future hires.
- Craft compelling job descriptions and talent messaging that articulate the company's value proposition.
- Facilitate a seamless and positive candidate journey, coordinating interviews, conducting screenings, and providing timely communication.
- Ensure a seamless transition for new hires from offer acceptance to their first day.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Help champion and embed company culture by assisting in organizing team-building events and initiatives.
- Assist with the administration of benefits, leave management, and maintain employee records in the HRIS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a hybrid TA / HR Generalist role or full-cycle People Operations role (ideally at a tech company)
- Experience with HR fundamentals including compliance, onboarding & training, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy administration
- Strong track record crafting effective sourcing strategies, building pipelines, and closing candidates for competitive roles
- Startup experience from Seed to Series B or standing up processes from 0 to 1
- Familiar with ATS (Lever), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other HR or sourcing tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a hybrid TA / HR Generalist role or recently shifted from hands-on recruitment into a full-cycle People Operations role, ideally at a tech company.
