Maintain the integrity and reliability of the organization's Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring all HR functionality meets the department's needs and objectives. This role involves collaborating with HR and leadership to improve HRIS applications and providing support and training to users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine short- and long-term HRIS objectives
- Develop a plan to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems
- Assess current system utilization and recommend improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements
- Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to HR Manager and company leaders
- Identify, recommend, and program custom HRIS functions and documentation like automated queries, filters, macros, and reports
- Plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and test new applications and features with the HR team
- Prepare training materials, guides, and documentation for HRIS users
- Provide user training and hands-on support for the HRIS
- Ensure HRIS compliance with data security and privacy requirements
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology
- Lead or participate in process improvement within the HR department
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- At least three years of experience with HR business systems
- Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design
- Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems, with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- At least three years of experience with HR business systems is highly preferred
