Lead and deliver impactful HR and employee communications for a global biotechnology company. This role involves developing communications strategies, creating internal content, and advising stakeholders on messaging to ensure alignment with corporate brand and global identity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR-driven communications strategies (benefits, rewards, talent programs, DE&I, culture, engagement, employee lifecycle)
- Create and manage internal content (newsletters, intranet, emails, leadership comms, presentations, town-halls, EVP materials)
- Advise HR and leadership on messaging, tone, timing, and channels
- Partner with Corporate Communications, Legal/Compliance, Creative/Vendor teams to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance in all communications
- Lead cross-functional projects, managing timeline, deliverables, stakeholder mapping, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Monitor, track and report on communications effectiveness (engagement analytics, feedback, surveys) and evolve strategy
- Define global HR communications strategy and oversee team and/or agency resources (for senior level)
Requirements
- BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in internal/HR/corporate communications
- Excellent writing, storytelling, editing, and content-creation skills
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration ability
- Project and program management skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience with employee comms channels/platforms (intranet, internal social, email, intranet CMS/portal) and vendor/agency management
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (advanced degree preferred for senior level)
- 5-7 years of experience (Manager) or 8-12+ years (Associate Director) in internal/HR/corporate communications
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree (for senior level)
- Experience in a biopharma, healthcare, or regulated environment
- Experience with employer branding / EVP communications / global workforce communications / DE&I communications
- Familiarity with compliance/regulatory requirements typical for biotech/pharma
