Housekeeping Aide

About This Role

The Housekeeping Aide ensures the facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition to provide a healthful environment for residents. This role involves following cleaning protocols, maintaining equipment, and providing high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services
• Follow cleaning procedures in a safe manner
• Complete all assignments scheduled in each unit
• Give an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor-free, orderly environment
• Check stock and notify supervisor of supply needs
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and return it to proper location after use
• Assist with room changes, as needed
• Ensure residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
• Good physical condition
• Working knowledge of standard materials
• Knowledge of techniques and equipment used in cleaning activities

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred
