Housekeeper/Homemaker/Companion

About This Role

Provide essential housekeeping, homemaking, and companion services to seniors, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive home environment. This role involves both household duties and assisting clients with appointments and errands.

Responsibilities

• Follow a designated work plan for clients
• Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Plan and prepare meals, including simple modified diets
• Participate in supportive activities to promote or maintain client independence
• Communicate significant changes in the status of the client and/or family
• Maintain a record of activities as directed
• Assist with making and changing beds
• Assist with dusting and vacuuming rooms used by the patient
• Clean the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and other appropriate rooms
• Assist with dishwashing
• Assist with listing needed supplies
• Shop for patients if no family member is available or able
• Assist with laundering, including necessary ironing and mending
• Assist with payment of bills and other essential errands
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or leisure activities

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18 or older
