Join Homewatch CareGivers of South Orange as a Certified Home Health Aide to provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with clients
- Provide companionship in a warm, welcoming, encouraging tone
- Provide assistance with ADLs (bathing, toileting, dressing)
- Assist with meal preparation
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes
- Ensure safety and supervision of clients
- Drive and accompany clients to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, and errands (for drivers)
Requirements
- ACTIVE New Jersey HHA Certification
- Fully vaccinated (and boosted if eligible) against COVID-19
- Two (2) forms of ID (e.g., Driver's License, Social Security card)
- Step 1 PPD (within 12 months), QuantiFERON (within 12 months) or Chest X-ray
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable, compassionate, flexible, and a team player
Qualifications
- 1+ year of prior experience as a Caregiver, preferred but not required
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of prior experience as a Caregiver
- Valid driver's license, own reliable automobile, proof of registration & auto insurance (for drivers)
