Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests, perform front desk duties such as check-in/check-out, handle payments, and provide essential information to ensure a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly with a friendly and sincere welcome
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank
- Accept and record vouchers and other forms of payment
- Complete registration process by inputting and retrieving information from the computer system
- Promote all marketing programs and make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs
- Promptly answer the telephone using a clear speaking voice and input messages into the computer
- Close guest accounts at time of check out and inquire guest of satisfaction
- Resolve issues such as location changes, providing additional room amenities and credit issues
- Record guest comments or complaints by listening and offering assistance to resolve problems
Requirements
- Ability to work varying schedules and holidays
- Regular attendance is essential
- Ability to comply with hotel's rules and regulations
- Ability to continually stand and move throughout front office area (exceeding 50% of work shift)
- Well-groomed and professional appearance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
