High School Teacher / Mathematics

About This Role

This role involves providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for high school mathematics students, planning effective lessons, and integrating a biblical worldview into the curriculum. The teacher will assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain strong relationships with parents to ensure student success and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective learning environment where students are engaged and challenged by the material
• Integrate a biblical worldview into the science curriculum and act as a godly role model
• Build appropriate rapport with students to encourage their spiritual, mental, emotional, and social growth
• Evaluate academic and social growth of students, prepare report cards, and maintain appropriate records
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed for an orderly, productive classroom environment
• Develop teaching and learning materials, including lesson plans, homework, quizzes, projects, and exams
• Craft assignments that recognize and celebrate different learning styles and encourage independent thinking
• Maintain relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and school counselors to provide individualized support
• Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and curriculum development meetings

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
• Current State of Florida and/or teaching certificate (or willingness to work toward one)
• Effective communication skills; both verbally and written
• Enthusiastic interest in working with high school students
• Ability to work effectively with other professionals
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be a godly role model

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
• Prior teaching experience preferred, but entry level accepted.
