About This Role

Plan and deliver mathematics courses to high school students according to curriculum guidelines, fostering academic and social development. This role involves developing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and maintaining classroom order.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop course of study according to District and state curriculum guidelines
• Tailor curriculum for different academic abilities and achievement levels
• Develop and present specific lesson plans using a variety of techniques (lectures, projects, technology)
• Prepare assignments and tests for in-school preparation and homework
• Monitor, assist, correct, and grade student performances
• Conduct standardized tests in accordance with District policies and law
• Maintain order in the classroom and administer discipline when necessary
• Counsel students regarding academic difficulties or behavioral problems
• Keep records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation
• Participate in faculty meetings, educational conferences, professional training seminars, and workshops
