Provide leadership and support to ensure a safe working environment, offering direct support to stakeholders and expertise to managers and projects. Implement safety programs, provide training, and communicate performance statistics for aseptic production and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Implement safety programs
- Support Stakeholders with safety management
- Provide safety expertise and solutions to all managers and projects for resolving known or potential issues
- Provide safety training and tools for the core processes to improve safety performance
- Communicate safety performance statistics on a monthly/weekly basis
- Review all recordable accidents and coach root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to stakeholders
- Provide backup support for the ISO14001 Environmental Management as well as ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- Increase the awareness of safety through various communication tools
- Support Circular for Zero waste initiatives and control processes
- Assist in management and record keeping for Health & Safety qualifications, programs, and compliance requirements
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a relevant field of study
- Minimum of five (5) years of safety experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent skills in root cause analysis for analyzing accidents
- Good communication and writing skills
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a relevant field of study from an accredited university
- Minimum of five (5) years of safety experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, or seven (7) years of safety experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of seven (7) years of safety experience
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001
- Working knowledge of data systems and analytical tools, to include Tableau, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and EHS portal (Cority)
- Emergency Management / planning knowledge and experience
- Pharmaceutical experience
