Health & Safety Consultant

About This Role

Provide technical and regulatory support with health & safety (OSHA) and environmental compliance to industrial facilities. This role involves conducting inspections, developing safety programs, and conducting employee training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory support for health & safety (OSHA) and environmental compliance
• Complete facility inspections and site assessments
• Develop site-specific safety programs and procedures
• Conduct employee safety and environmental training
• Lead safety committee meetings
• Perform compliance audits and routine facility inspections
• Prepare agendas and follow-up reports for client contacts
• Develop, write, and edit OSHA-compliant programs
• Facilitate safety committee and emergency response team (ERT) meetings
• Perform industrial hygiene surveys and conduct respective testing

Requirements

• Experience in the development and implementation of safety programs
• Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and other OSHA/safety regulations, including state or regional-specific requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Aptitude for sound decision-making
• Ability to assert good judgment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 3-5 years of experience in occupational safety in a manufacturing environment
