Health Program Administrator

About This Role

Administer health programs within the Office of Health Insurance Programs, specifically the Division of Finance and Rate Setting's Contracts Unit. Develop and lead procurements, manage contract documents, and provide guidance on contract related matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop Request for Proposals, Request for Applications and other competitive procurements
• Lead the evaluation process for competitive procurements
• Develop various Contract Documents and Packages to be submitted to the Office of the State Comptroller for approval
• Provide contract related guidance to all divisions within OHIP
• Routinely track, monitor, and report on contract statuses

Requirements

• Six years of experience in the administration, supervision, and oversight of agency programs (Health Program Administrator)
• Five years of experience in the administration, supervision, and oversight of agency programs (Health Program Administrator, Trainee 2)
• Four years of experience in the administration, supervision, and oversight of agency programs (Health Program Administrator, Trainee 1)

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in the administration, supervision, and oversight of agency programs; an associate degree may substitute for two years of experience; a bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience; a master's degree may substitute for five years of experience; and a doctorate may substitute for six years of experience.
