Head Soccer Coach

About This Role

Lead Cleveland United FC as Head Coach into its first competitive season, shaping the club's identity and making a lasting impact on the local soccer community. The role involves leading team training and match preparation, recruiting players, and developing the team's playing philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of team training, match preparation, and in-game management
• Recruit, evaluate, and select players in collaboration with club leadership
• Develop a playing philosophy that balances competitiveness with player development
• Foster a positive team culture built on respect, discipline, and professionalism
• Work with staff to coordinate logistics (training schedules, facilities, travel)
• Represent the club at community events and serve as an ambassador for Cleveland United FC

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, academy, or semi-professional level
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire players
• Knowledge of modern training methodologies and player development pathways
• Ability to work evenings and weekends (matches and training sessions)

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, academy, or semi-professional level.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the Spanish language
• USSF D License or international equivalent
• Experience recruiting and working with diverse player pools
• Ties to the Cleveland/Chattanooga soccer community
• A proven track record of building competitive teams from the ground up
