As the Head of Talent & People, you will be responsible for owning the entire employee lifecycle and building the People function from the ground up at Nametag. This role involves scaling the team across Engineering, Product, and GTM by driving full-cycle recruiting and establishing HR infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead full cycle hiring including sourcing, interviewing, offers, and closing across technical and GTM teams
- Build diverse talent pipelines using creative sourcing, employer branding, and agency support
- Standardize ATS, interview loops, and candidate experience for consistency and efficiency
- Develop and advise leadership on role definition, level stratification, and hiring standards
- Design and implement a remote-first onboarding experience that embodies the company's mission and values
- Own HR systems including HRIS, benefits administration, documentation, and scalable processes
- Ensure compliance for a distributed U.S. workforce while maintaining low-friction operations
- Help codify values, manage internal communications, and lead engagement initiatives including quarterly off-sites
Requirements
- 4-8 years experience in Talent/People at fast-moving startups
- Proven success hiring hard-to-fill technical and GTM roles
- Strong operational discipline (ATS, HRIS, documentation, process-first)
- Experience with remote-first teams and distributed work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable representing the company externally and writing internal policy

- 4-8 years in Talent/People at fast-moving startups, ideally as an early hire
