About This Role

As the Head of Monetization, you will be the architect of revenue, crafting contracting strategies and closing bankable deals for a portfolio of grid-connected energy storage, renewable-plus-storage hybrids, and high-density compute campuses. This role focuses on commercial innovation, structured energy products, and cross-functional leadership to propel sustainable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and qualify deal flow for stand-alone storage, renewable hybrids, and power-enabled data / compute sites
  • Forge relationships with utilities, IPPs, large C&I buyers, next-gen cloud operators, and capital partners to surface investable opportunities
  • Design repeatable revenue frameworks including capacity-based, performance-indexed, virtual tolling, hedge overlays, and compute hosting structures
  • Standardize terms, risk positions, and credit packages to shorten cycle times and improve bankability
  • Lead negotiations with executive-level counterparties from term sheet through definitive agreement
  • Orchestrate legal, finance, engineering, and development contributors in deal leadership
  • Ensure rigorous approvals, risk reviews, and documentation for deal governance
  • Maintain authoritative insight on price signals, interconnection congestion, resource adequacy needs, and data-center load growth
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale an origination team
  • Embed CRM hygiene, probability-weighted stage gates, and quarterly targets for disciplined execution

Requirements

  • 12–18+ years leading origination or structured commercial BD for utility-scale energy, storage, or digital-infrastructure assets
  • Demonstrated record closing large, complex agreements (capacity, PPAs, tolling, grid services, hedges, or compute-hosting)
  • Sharp commercial judgement across pricing, risk allocation, credit, and financing requirements
  • Executive presence with the ability to synthesize technical, financial, and contractual concepts for C-suite audiences
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional deal teams in fast-growth environments

Qualifications

  • 12–18+ years leading origination or structured commercial BD for utility-scale energy, storage, or digital-infrastructure assets

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with storage value stacks in major ISOs (e.g., ERCOT, PJM, CAISO)
  • Exposure to data-center power or powered-shell contracting models
  • Experience institutionalizing playbooks within an IPP or platform environment
