This Guest Services III position, also known as 'Guest Services Lead', is a working lead role at the Edina Aquatic Center, primarily involved in admissions and concessions. The role ensures efficient and polite service, meeting every guest's expectations while also leading and coaching Guest Services II staff.
Responsibilities
- Serves Guest Services II staff and the public as go-to contact and leader within a designated area of Guest Services (Admissions or Concessions) during critical business times.
- Provides on-site coaching and continued evaluation to Guest Services II staff, assisting Managers in formal documentation.
- Assists with executing weekly in-service sessions focused on addressing reoccurring themes, obstacles, or important seasonal reminders.
- Manages day-to-day coordination and execution of all rentals, parties, and groups, including guest relations, service delivery, and space maintenance.
- Takes and delivers food/beverage orders, manages payments, and ensures prompt service.
- Prepares, restocks, cleans, and maintains rental/party/group spaces.
- Upsells rentals and other amenities, building client relationships.
- Coordinates with F&B, housekeeping, and management to ensure high service standards.
- Monitors the pool area, maintains guest privacy, and reports safety concerns.
- Upholds and models the City of Edina values of Integrity, Quality, and Service (IQS) in all interactions.
Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age or older
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Ability to produce quality, accurate work, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and utilize work time properly and productively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, respectful, and productive working relationships
- Ability to effectively apply cross-cultural communication skills while working with a diverse population
- Confidence in enforcing facility rules, policies and conducting safety inspections
- Ability to model basic professional conduct in the workplace
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to provide own transportation to and from assigned work location
- Attend mandatory trainings
Nice to Have
- Experience in aquatics facility
