Group Home Direct Support Professional

About This Role

Provide direct support to adults with developmental disabilities and Autism in Lehigh Valley group homes. This role involves assisting individuals with personal care, engaging them in activities, and helping them maintain independence and achieve personal goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities through creative support via tasks, activities, and community engagement
• Provide direct services to individuals in their homes and in the community
• Provide personal care to individuals
• Ensure the highest quality of care in helping individuals meet their needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Access to a reliable vehicle during work hours
• U.S. driver's license for at least two years
• Listed as a driver on a valid auto insurance policy
• Ability to drive personal and company-provided vehicles during work hours

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience as a direct support professional is preferred, but not required

Nice to Have

• One year of experience as a direct support professional
