Group Fitness Instructor

About This Role

Provide cutting-edge, entertaining, and educational group fitness instruction to promote fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. Act as a fitness resource and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage class attendance and promote Life Time programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining classes
• Educate class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine
• Attentively listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes
• Clean and organize studio space after each class
• Provide current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language
• Promote Life Time promotions, programs, products, and services, specifically encouraging participation for Classes at Life Time

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of fitness instructor work experience
• CPR/AED Certification
• Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: NASM, ACE, AFAA, AEA
• Ability to perform aerobic activity for duration of a class
• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds
• Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 or more years of fitness instructor work experience
