The Ground Support Equipment Servicer (GSE) inspects, services, and operates various equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and proper maintenance. This role involves managing equipment records, handling hazardous materials, and dispatching GSE to support maintenance and flight operations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and operate equipment to determine serviceability and proper operation
- Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
- Prepare GSE for storage and transportation
- Use automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions
- Manage external fuel and grounding systems
- Stencil and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications
- Store and handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of waste per environmental standards
- Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles
- Maintain paper and electronic equipment records
- Provide dispatch services for GSE, including positioning equipment for maintenance and flight operations
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance service and checks on all heavy, light, and power generation machinery
- Ability to perform annual, quarterly, and monthly inspections on automotive/track and heavy tactical equipment
- Ability to operate all heavy equipment and forklifts up to and including 50,000 pounds lift capacity
- Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US
