About This Role

The Grants Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle administration of a federally funded grant, ensuring compliance, disciplined execution, and effective partnerships for project dissemination and scale. This role coordinates timelines, deliverables, budgets, and reporting while translating program goals into executable plans for a national talent management non-profit.

Responsibilities

  • Manage grant compliance and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of all required reports, documentation, and submissions with no material compliance findings
  • Ensure consistent delivery of grant milestones, deliverables, and performance measures according to the approved project plan
  • Monitor grant expenditures to remain aligned with the approved budget, proactively identifying and addressing variances
  • Establish clear, reliable systems for tracking grant activities, metrics, and timelines to enable strong internal coordination and decision-making
  • Cultivate effective key partnerships to meet agreed-upon commitments and contribute meaningfully to project dissemination and scaling goals
  • Monitor performance metrics in partnership with the Project Director
  • Align grant spending with approved budgets
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are met accurately and on time

Requirements

  • 5+ years in grant management, grant writing, federal/state grants, or nonprofit grants administration
  • Proven success in securing and managing institutional funding
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, compliance, audits, and financial reporting
  • Experience leading complex projects with multiple contributors
  • Ability to develop timelines, manage workflows, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Strong systems thinking; able to operationalize grants end-to-end
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and narrative development abilities
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous
  • Passion for social impact and education reform and equity for all students
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort in reporting, collecting, analyzing data for strategic decisions
  • Comfortable managing a budget at a basic level
