Manage grants and data for a non-profit organization, ensuring compliance with funder expectations and supporting fundraising initiatives for programs and general operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage all grants in support of the organization and its mission
- Compile, analyze, and submit HMIS, DOH, HUD, and DMHAS reports to ensure compliance with funder’s expectations
- Support the annual audit process by providing non-financial data as needed
- Prepare accurate statistical reports for grant writing, government reports, and public publication
- Create a quarterly newsletter for public distribution
- Build on and implement the existing fund development plan, goals, strategies, activities, timetables, and budgets
- Research grant funding sources and write grant proposals and reports to public, private, and government entities
- Develop and implement effective publications for social media, website, direct mail, and e-mail appeals for annual giving
- Help identify and cultivate individual major donors and corporate support for the organization
- Develop and implement an Agency planned giving initiative, with all marketing and communications components
- Assist with fundraising activities and special events to ensure event success and effective solicitation
- Assist with digital communications platforms (e.g., Facebook, peer-to-peer fundraising, X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
- Maintain a current working knowledge of service gaps, resources, and needs that impact funding, housing, and services
- Ensure accuracy of data and data collection for grant writing and reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proficiency in personal computers and Microsoft applications
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to write articulate grant proposals and related reporting documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Policy and Management, or related field
- Five or more years of experience in a nonprofit organization
