About This Role

This role will support the day-to-day operations of the government affairs and advocacy work for the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association. The coordinator will provide administrative and logistical support, ensuring effective connection between members, volunteer leaders, and elected officials.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars and coordinate meetings with state and federal legislative offices
  • Schedule briefings, hearings, and in-district meetings for NRLA staff and volunteer leaders
  • Maintain and update contact lists, schedules, and internal tracking documents
  • Monitor legislative calendars and key deadlines relevant to NRLA activities
  • Assist in planning and organizing advocacy events such as lobby days, legislative meetings, and policy briefings
  • Coordinate logistics including venues, catering, travel, registrations, and materials
  • Provide on-site or remote support to ensure events run smoothly
  • Assist with drafting correspondence, scheduling notices, and internal updates
  • Track meeting outcomes, attendance, and follow-up items
  • Help coordinate member participation in legislative meetings and advocacy initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Comfort managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • Experience with scheduling, administrative support, event coordination, or logistics strongly preferred
