This GIS-Network Engineer will monitor IT services, ensuring availability and performance, and report anomalies. They will adhere to service management processes, assist with network updates, and maintain technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction
- Assist in carrying out recommended updates to network and network security equipment
- Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation for specific IT services
- Support outages and aid in root cause analysis of Network and related outages or incident trends
- Be available for Installation/Maintenance activities as well as major outage handling outside of business hours
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Network Operations Support (L1–L2)
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and rack & stack / cabling
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with incident & outage support and basic troubleshooting / RCA
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, SLA-driven support, and ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar)
- Experience with hardware inventory, installation, decommissioning, and IDF/MDF environments
- Willingness to provide onsite and after-hours support
Qualifications
