This role involves managing inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy of supply documents, resolving discrepancies, and monitoring inventory records within the Defense Logistics Agency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inventory transactions relating to gains, losses, receipts, and issues are processed
- Ensure asset balances are updated for item status (issuable, blocked/suspended)
- Research and validate inventory data, certifying accuracy of supply documents
- Serve as the primary point of contact for monitoring inventory and related actions
- Resolve inventory problems and coordinate solutions for trends and transaction discrepancies
- Perform inventory reconciliation activities, including investigating discrepancies and initiating comparisons
- Initiate periodic inventory reconciliation for non-accountable locations and resolve major accounting problems
- Monitor inventory records and actions at assigned locations
- Research and analyze accounts to identify discrepancies, determine corrective action, and provide guidance
- Resolve complex discrepant returns (product quality, supply, transportation)
Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance
- Registered or exempt from Selective Service requirement (males born after 12-31-59)
- REAL ID or other acceptable identification to access federal facilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent at GS-09 level; Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree at GS-11 level
- Specialized experience is required at various GS levels, with GS-12 requiring experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent.
