General Service Technician

About This Role

This role is responsible for performing non-technical automotive service repairs like oil changes and tire services. The Technician also handles customer transportation, parts pickup, and maintains shop cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation
• Perform oil changes and other basic services
• Utilize the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building
• Drive vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws
• Transport customers, pick up parts, supplies, and tires using the company vehicle
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) ethically following guidelines
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to direct supervisor
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver’s license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Nice to Have

• General understanding of under the hood, mechanical and under carriage assemblies
• High School Diploma or equivalent
