General Service Technician

About This Role

Conduct non-technical automotive service repairs, including oil changes and tire services, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining shop cleanliness. This role involves driving customers and picking up parts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation
• Perform oil changes and other basic services as directed by management
• Observe general vehicle condition during services and report needed repairs or safety concerns
• Document vehicle condition using the company's Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and building exterior
• Safely transport customers to and from their locations using a company vehicle
• Pick up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors and/or the corporate office using a company vehicle
• Operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections following company and state guidelines
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License within 30 days of hire date
• General understanding of under-the-hood, mechanical, and undercarriage assemblies
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday
