General Merchandise Associate

About This Role

The General Merchandise Associate will provide excellent customer service, maintain the general merchandise area by zoning and stocking, and assist with product sales. This role helps customers locate and purchase goods while adhering to company values.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions
• Resolve customer issues and refer concerns where appropriate
• Cover an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor
• Zone assigned area and move feature merchandise to its modular home
• Work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store
• Assist with Front End coverage and communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures
• Stock merchandise/picks, downstock if applicable, and apply product protection when required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
