General Laborer/Fabricator

About This Role

Join Veritas Steel's team as a General Laborer/Fabricator to contribute to the bridge fabrication industry at the Wausau location. This role involves grinding, drilling, shop cleanup, and miscellaneous tasks to meet production demands with high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Grind materials as required by job specifications
• Drill materials as required by job specifications
• Assist with shop clean-up and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Operate hand and power tools such as grinders and sanders
• Assist with setup and operation of equipment necessary to fabricate material
• Use proper safety equipment to ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for all operations
• Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel to complete work orders efficiently
• Meet production demands promptly and complete high-quality work
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Commitment to attendance policy and procedures
• Commitment to work safety and actively participating in safety culture
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. and carry 30 lbs.
• Ability to push/move objects up to 50 lbs. of force
• Pulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of force
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
• Good range of motion when reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending
• Agile fingers and thumbs on both hands
