Join a leading underlayment and sound control company as a General Laborer, installing gypsum and concrete-based floor products. This role offers strong job security and opportunities for advancement within the commercial construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Cut, tap, and lay acoustical floor mat
- Break open bags of gypcrete and pour them into a mixer
- Set up the hose for pouring and connect to the mixer
- Operate a bobcat to move sand into the mixer
- Finish the poured Gypcrete floor
- Carry supplies onto a job site
- Pick up or deliver supplies as needed
- Assist other crew members as necessary
- Use small tools and perform basic equipment repair
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Basic knowledge of reading a tape measure
- Ability to drive to various project sites
- Ability to multi-task
- Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 80lbs of product repetitively
Nice to Have
- Previous construction experience
- Previous experience with working on a concrete crew
