Gaming Host

About This Role

This role is responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment for guests and co-workers at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway. The Gaming Host will promote events, contact guests for amenities and special events, and provide personal service to VIP players.

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events
• Promote property events and promotions via telemarketing and other communication
• Contact guests and/or send correspondence to invite them to enjoy amenities and/or to special events
• Identify and develop professional relationships with established and potential VIP guests
• Provide personal service to assigned VIP players, issuing complimentary based on player ratings as needed
• Host on and off property entertainment for guests, such as sporting events, dinners, and theaters
• Communicate constantly with gaming operations and other Team Members
• Maintain compliance with regulatory rules, property standards and Internal Controls

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
• Must enjoy hosting others
• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests
• Proficient in common computer programs

Qualifications

• 3 years of sales, casino, management or hospitality experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with Salesforce.com or casino marketing programs
• 3 years of sales, casino, management or hospitality experience
• Experience balancing a budget and understanding of profit margin growth
• Multi-lingual ability
