About This Role

The Front Office Registrar is a vital member of a healthcare team, managing patient flow, demographics, insurance verification, and scheduling to ensure timely, efficient, and patient-centered service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial intake of patients
  • Update patient information
  • Collect co-pays
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed
  • Greet customers with a smile and eye contact
  • Ensure customer retention through excellent customer service
  • Create a comfortable atmosphere by addressing patient questions and concerns
  • Complete patient demographic, insurance, and financial information accurately and timely
  • Verify insurances to ensure proper billing of services

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in a health care setting
  • Great computer skills
  • Commitment to patient privacy

Qualifications

  • High School diploma / Associates degree preferred
  • At least five years’ experience, preferably in a health care setting.

Nice to Have

  • Associate's degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish helpful)
  • Familiarity with EMR
